Do I have a case to sue Sears?

you are only as strong as your weakest entity.....so sears has dummed down and acts like KMART....dumb as they are you still shop and give personal information online...bet they "TOLD" you it is secure...walk don't surf WALK into best buy and ask for the best deal on a range....don't have to succeed just make an attempt to pull your head out of your ...you actually think if you win in courts on the merits they will cut you a check for seventy-nine dollars.....you cannot get punitive damages in small claims court....so you went out and bought a similar range for $778.oo..those are your damages and that is what you can get.....but you will have to shell out 100 bucks to prove your case and waste 15 hours filing the papers and going to court....about 6 bucks an hour........
